There’s never an embarrassing moment for Tom Cruise as secret agent Ethan Hunt in “Mission Impossible,” but in real life things are a little different, like showing up at the “Fallout” premiere in Tokyo with his pants unzipped.
The 56-year-old actor seemed happily unaware of the situation while strutting his stuff before the movie opened on Wednesday, smiling and waving at fans before moving on to attend a press conference inside, The Daily Mail reported.
At some point he realized the wardrobe malfunction, though, because when he walked up to the stage with his co-stars he was all zipped up.
Naturally Twitter was buzzing and snap-sharing about the mishap.
At least Cruise wasn’t limping through the embarrassing moment from the ankle injury he suffered last year while performing a stunt on set for “Mission Impossible.”
Filming was halted as the star nursed the broken ankle, The Daily Mail noted, and while the injury didn’t hamper the movie’s release, the ankle hasn’t fully healed yet.
Early reviews of the latest “Mission Impossible” film should make up for things, as critics are reportedly full of praise following a Paris screening earlier this month, The Mercury News reported.
“Absolutely fantastic,” one critic noted on Twitter, while another said the action was “unbelievable.”
