Both Donny and Marie Osmond are asking for prayers for their brother Tom Osmond, the second-eldest of the Osmond clan.

Tom Osmond, 70, underwent quadruple bypass surgery, and “is on life support right now and fighting to hang on,” Donny Osmond posted on Instagram. “It’s been an emotional and challenging few days for all of us, so I hope you’ll understand the radio silence from my end.” He included a childhood photo of the two.

“We don’t know what the future holds for Tom, but it’s in the Lord’s hands now,” Donny continued. “The whole Osmond family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers on behalf of my sweet brother.”

Marie Osmond also used social media to reach out.

“My brother Tom is a great example of our Savior’s love. He has a broken [heart] and contrite spirit!” Marie Osmond wrote on Twitter. She asked followers to go to her “Facebook & Website, [and] see why he needs prayers today. I love you my sweet Brother.”

Although Tom is hearing impaired, he occasionally performed with his siblings on the Osmond family specials that were a part of the 1970s and early 1980s.

After the breakup of the Osmond Brothers, which started out as a barbershop quartet, younger siblings Donny and Marie starred in several TV variety shows, she “a little bit country,” and he “a little bit rock and roll.”

They’re currently performing at the Flamingo on the Las Vegas strip.

Donny Osmond posted a similar message to Twitter, and received a reply from another blast from the past: Maureen McCormick, who portrayed eldest daughter Marsha Brady on the 1970s sitcom, “The Brady Bunch.”

McCormick’s was one of 1,500 replies Donny received as of Wednesday afternoon, with Marie's tweet not far behind. It received a very personal reply.
