Valeria Lukyanova's Abs Give 'Human Barbie' a New Six-Pack

By    |   Thursday, 14 May 2015 09:58 AM EDT

Valeria Lukyanova, the so-called "Human Barbie," has added some muscle in the form of six-pack abs.

Life & Style magazine reported that the always-sensational Lukyanova had been relatively quiet and unheard from so far this year, but this week made a surprise posting of a new photo shoot to her social media accounts.

Lukyanova hinted about her transformation in the weeks preceding the release of the photo spread, saying that she was tired of being thin, and desired a more "warlike figure" like an "Amazon woman."

"I no longer like my body. It needs some muscle," she explained.

Some fans of Lukyanova noted that her inspiration for beefing up might have something to do with the alleged assault the 29-year-old model suffered on Halloween.

Since then, the Ukrainian model has posted a number of pictures to Instagram showing her in the gym, on her way to muscle gain — and perhaps a little self-defense.
