Viral "weather kid" Carden Corts has blown away social media with his forecast that landed on YouTube after the 6-year-old did it as a school project.
Corts, a student at Waverly Belmont Elementary School, got a big assist from dad Charlie Corts who works at a Nashville design studio. For the school project, each student was given a day of the month to create a persdonalized weather forecast, The Tennessean reported.
"Today's weather report is brought to you by the letter 'C' and also Pokemon cards," Carden said at the beginning of the humorous video.
Carden shined in the video, acting out cold temperatures, high winds, and even an approaching tornado – all with his so-called "weather simulator button." Social media watchers loved it, with 1.81 million views on YouTube since it was posted last Wednesday.
"I work at Rated Red, a design studio in Nashville, and we have a green screen video in our office so when I saw this assignment I felt like I had been waiting my whole life for this," Charlie Corts told The Tennessean, then laughed. "No seriously, I thought it was something we could have fun with.”
"We had a leaf blower that happened to be in our shed at the office and we thought it would fun to use."
The video proved so popular that local WKRN-TV meteorologist Danielle Breezy put it on air and the kindergartner repeated the "spring break" dance he did on the video.
Many on social media found the video heartwarming, despite the chilly start to the spring.
