Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are bringing their comedic talents to “Daddy’s Home,” a new Paramount movie announced this week.
The movie will be about a stepfather, Ferrell, who has trouble with his stepkids’ deadbeat dad, Wahlberg, when he comes back into their lives, New York Daily News said.

“When a divorced guy's ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc,”
IMDb says of "Daddy's Home."
Ferrell and Wahlberg worked together as two New York detectives in “The Other Guys” in 2010, a movie that enjoyed limited box office success but drew in a lot of fans of the lead actors.
Sean Anders will direct “Daddy’s Home.” He directed “Horrible Bosses 2” and “That’s My Boy.”
“Will and Mark are the absolute perfect on-screen duo to take on this hilarious project. With Anders at the helm, and our partners Red Granite on-board, we are thrilled this movie is getting underway,” Paramount Film Group President Adam Goodman said in a news release.
The pairing of Ferrell and Wahlberg pleased fans of their work in “The Other Guys.”
“Studios these days often weigh all their individual risks before betting on anything that's not a comic book superhero movie, but what are the odds that Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg can pull off another certified fresh movie on Rotten Tomatoes like they did with ‘The Other Guys?’”
KPopStarz wrote. “The chances seem to be high since both Ferrell and Wahlberg often draw in crowds of those looking for a good laugh, especially Ferrell who had a successful run in ‘The Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.’”
