Country music legend Willie Nelson is marketing his own brand of marijuana that will be sold by businesses in Colorado and Washington where recreational pot is legal.

Called Willie's Reserve, his cannabis company said the pot will have the musician's stamp of approval, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

"I will make sure it's good or it won't be on sale," Nelson, 81, told Rolling Stone in a story posted Monday. "There should be a menu just like in a restaurant because there are so many different kinds of pot that do many different things. It's a good idea to have everything labeled for what it does, what it don't do [and] how powerful it is."

Rolling Stone noted that Nelson is a longtime supporter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws and supports the call for liberalizing the country's marijuana laws. The magazine said he started his Teapot Party movement after he was arrested 2010 in Texas on marijuana charges, urging marijuana users to vote for law changes.

"If it's the day to go vote, make sure you go vote before you burn one down," Nelson told CelebStone News. "Don't get high and forget to vote."

The Wall Street Journal said Nelson is the latest artist to take advantage of the new legalized marijuana business. Rapper Snoop Dogg recently invested in a startup company that plans to deliver medicinal marijuana to customers in 10 minutes or less.

"The legal marijuana industry is growing fast: Alaska, Washington D.C., Colorado and Washington state have all legalized recreational marijuana, and 20 states have legalized medical marijuana," wrote Time magazine's Charlotte Alter.

"And other pot companies are also getting in on the action – according to CB Insights, weed businesses raised a total of $104 million in 59 deals over the course of 2014, with Privateer Holdings (the company selling Bob Marley-branded weed) raking in a $75 million investment from Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund," wrote Alter.
