'Yeezus,' Kanye West's New Album, Fuels Criticism of Rapper

Rapper Kanye West's new album "Yeezus," which boasts the track "I Am a God," has outraged music fans everywhere — including former Oasis star Liam Gallagher, who bashed the hip-hop artist this week for comparing himself to Jesus.

"Yeezus," seemingly a mix between West's nickname "Yeezy" and "Jesus," has listeners complaining of the rapper's arrogance, which was put on full display in a New York Times interview Tuesday.

"I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means," West said when asked about being a trendsetter. "I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period… I will be the leader of a company that ends up being worth billions of dollars, because I got the answers. I understand culture. I am the nucleus."

Gallagher then slammed West's Jesus complex and called him a "f—ing clown" in the British newspaper, The Sun.

"He’s a f—ing idiot. You’ll never see Jesus bang his head," Gallagher said, referencing an incident last month where West walked into a sign while being photographed by paparazzi.

Twitter users also attacked West for his new album title.
