Once President Donald Trump's legal team proves widespread voter fraud in multiple close states, the results in those states will be overturned, handing a reelection victory to the president, according to Trump campaign strategic adviser Boris Epshteyn on Newsmax TV.
Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani will be traveling to those states over the next several days, Epshteyn told Tuesday's "American Agenda" host Bob Sellers.
"We're working on Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Arizona to present the case for a widespread election fraud that was perpetrated on the American people and to discuss what happened and what needs to be done," he said, also pointing to Georgia and Wisconsin.
"Let's keep in mind that it is not state officials who decide who won the most amount of legal votes in any particular state; it is the legislature of that particular state that decides that," Epshteyn said.
The president has been meeting with legislators as he makes his case. As claims of fraud have failed in the courts, one strategy has been hoping Republican state legislatures would vote not to certify results, thereby denying Democrat Joe Biden the 270 electoral votes needed for the presidency.
Such a move would throw the election to a vote of the House of Representatives, which favors Trump, since the vote is taken not by membership, where Democrats hold the advantage, but by state. Republicans hold the most states.
"So in this case, the legislatures of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Arizona and other states are going to determine who won the most amount of legal votes, Epshteyn said. "And we strongly believe that when the legal votes are counted in the states were concentrating on . . . it will be clear that President Trump won those states."
