Fox News Channel’s Laura Ingraham has eclipsed MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow for an eighth straight month in nightly viewers, making her the most watched woman host in cable news, the Washington Examiner reported.
The conservative Ingraham, who has hosted “The Ingraham Angle” at 10 p.m. ET since October 2017, has drawn more than 3 million viewers nightly since December, pushing her past the liberal Maddow, MSNBC’s most-watched personality whose show airs an hour earlier, the Examiner reported quoting Nielsen Media Research.
The 57-year-old Ingraham also has eclipsed Maddow, 47, in the advertiser coveted 25-54 age demographic.
“What we've been able to do at 10 o’clock is truly remarkable, and the record ratings are humbling," Ingraham said in a statement
Fox News remained as the most-watched cable news channel for a 49th consecutive month, the Examiner said.
Sean Hannity was the most-watched host with nearly 4.1 million nightly viewers, followed by Fox’s Tucker Carlson (4.02 million viewers), Ingraham (3.4 million viewers) and Maddow (3.33 million viewers) and “The Five,” a Fox News show at 5 p.m. featuring five pundits (3.30 million viewers.)
