Rep. Ken Calvert, R-Calif., says he has recovered after testing positive for COVID-19 late last month.
“After receiving the results, I adhered to the recommendations of my physician and CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] quarantine guidelines,” he said in a statement posted by his office. “I did experience symptoms, but am now back to full strength.
“Having been cleared to travel, I returned to D.C. yesterday. I regret missing votes during my quarantine, especially on passage of the National Defense Authorization Act, and I have inserted my views on all missed votes into the Congressional Record.”
The Hill noted 36 members of the House and Senate have tested positive for the coronavirus since March. Calvert is the 15th member of Congress to test positive since the start of November.
