CBS News has tapped its senior foreign affairs correspondent Margaret Brennan to moderate "Face the Nation" beginning this Sunday.
Brennan, 37, replaces John Dickerson who was named co-anchor of "CBS This Morning" last month after Charlie Rose was ousted in the wake of a sexual misconduct scandal.
Brennan — who joined CBS News in 2012 after stints at Bloomberg Television and CNBC — will continue reporting on foreign affairs from Washington, D.C.
"'Face the Nation' is one of the longest-running traditions in television," CBS News president David Rhodes said in a statement.
"Margaret's coverage of the White House and the world make her the ideal moderator for this legendary CBS News franchise at this moment in time."
Brennan was named by Irish America magazine as one of the top 100 Irish-Americans in business and the media.
