The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention appeared to quietly update its list of COVID-19 symptoms with three additional indicators that someone may have the virus.

As Fox News noted, the CDC now says congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea are all symptoms of the coronavirus that has ravaged the world since it first cropped up in Wuhan, China, late last year.

The update to the symptoms list was made in May, Fox reported.

"This list does not include all possible symptoms," the health organization's page on the virus reads. "CDC will continue to update this list as we learn more about COVID-19."

Health officials said Thursday, meanwhile, that 20 million Americans could have been infected with the virus, far more than the 2.5 million confirmed cases.

Close to 127,000 Americans have died from the virus.

Tracking website covidexitstrategy.org, which is run by public health and crisis experts, flagged 33 states as "trending poorly" because of an increase in case numbers.
