New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie danced with "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon and participated in jokes on the Bridge-gate scandal that has embroiled his office since January.
Christie participated in a Father's Day edition of Fallon's popular "Evolution of Dancing" segment. In a portion titled "The Dance at a Springsteen Concert," Christie played air guitar to "Born to Run." He and Fallon also danced while barely moving their bodies for "The Republican Convention," then got wilder for "The Democratic Convention."

It was Christie's first appearance on any late-night show since the Bridge-gate scandal erupted. Christie was reported to have been personally hurt when his musical hero
Bruce Springsteen appeared on Fallon's former show, "Late Night," to lampoon the scandal in song.
When Fallon introduced "The Bridge is Closed" dance, Christie feigned anger, shrugged and walked away but returned for a reprise of "Born to Run" to close out the segment.
Christie aides have been accused of closing lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge last fall as political payback, but Christie himself has denied any prior knowledge of the actions.
Comedian Chris Rock was Fallon's first guest and alluded to the scandal, hinting he thought Christie was personally involved in the lane closures.
Rock has a home in New Jersey and when Christie later came out to be interviewed he told Fallon, "I saw Chris Rock before. Yeah, his house is foreclosed on."
Fallon said that Christie had gotten hit in the press pretty hard and added that "some late night shows" made fun of him. Fallon told Christie he respected him for "standing in the ring."
Christie joked that his family was much more humiliated by his dance segment on Fallon's show than the bridge scandal "because I actually did that."
Though his poll numbers dropped after the scandal hit, Christie may still be a contender for the Republican presidential nomination for president in 2016. Before Bridge-gate, he was seen as the GOP's best hope to beat the Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, though neither Christie nor Clinton have officially declared their intentions.
"Hypothetically, you run for president. Hypothetically, Hillary Clinton runs for president. Hypothetically, do you think you could beat her?" Fallon asked.
"Hypothetically?" Christie responded. "You bet."
