Coburn: I'm a Global Warming Denier

Sen. Tom Coburn doesn't mind being labeled as someone who refuses to accept the theory of global warming — in fact it's a moniker he embraces.

"I am a global warming denier," the Oklahoma Republican said while speaking to the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce, Tulsa World reports. "I don't deny that."

This is nothing new, the Oklahoma Republican previously referred to the idea of global warming as "crap."

Climate change has been taking place as long as there has been a climate, Coburn argued.

The former physician believes that the current evidence points to a "mini-ice age" in the Earth's future as more likely than a warming trend.
