IRS Sets Wednesday Deadline For Coronavirus Payment via Direct Deposit

The IRS says taxpayers looking to get their coronavirus relief payment quickly should provide their direct deposit information on the website's "Get My Payment" tool by May 13th at noon. 

“We’re working hard to get more payments quickly to taxpayers,” IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig said in a news release.

“We want people to visit Get My Payment before the noon Wednesday deadline so they can provide their direct deposit information. Time is running out for a chance to get these payments several weeks earlier through direct deposit.”

The IRS will mail paper checks beginning mid-to-late May. The majority of funds have been sent electronically.
