Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., in Tuesday's Democratic debate continued her attacks on Mike Bloomberg's treatment of women, saying he has funded campaigns against her and other women — even though in her case he did not succeed.

"I don't care how much money Mayor Bloomberg has, the core of the Democratic Party will never trust him" she said. "He has not earned their trust. I will."

That, she added, makes Bloomberg "the riskiest candidate standing on this stage."

Bloomberg countered with his experience as the mayor of the nation's largest city, having been elected just after 9/11.

"I have been training for this job since I stepped on the pile that was still smoldering on 9/11," he said. "I've run the city, which is almost the same size — bigger than most countries in the world."

The exchange got nastier when Warren told her oft-repeated story of losing a teaching job when she became "visibly pregnant."

"At least I didn't have a boss who said to me, 'kill it,' the way that Mayor Bloomberg is alleged to have said to one of his pregant employees," she said.

"I never said that," Bloomberg shot back, adding, if Warren had been a teacher in New York City "she would never have had that problem. We treated our teachers the right way, and the unions will tell you exactly that."
