Dennis Miller agrees with President Barack Obama's assessment that some people don't like him because of his race and some do like him for the same reason.
Appearing on
Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" on Wednesday, Miller said that more white people voted for Obama because they felt it was time for a black president than voted against him because they were racist.
Obama made the statement in a
New Yorker interview published online Sunday.
"When I watched him in Grant Park [after winning election in 2008], I didn't vote for him, I saw those young black upturned faces looking up at him, and finally they didn't have to listen to a rapper talking about hoes, they didn't have to listen to a sports player putting a needle in their arse," Miller said.
"I thought, this will be good for this country. God bless them."
But after five years in office, Obama has proved "he's an inept civil servant," Miller said.
"I think he's a good reminder that men of all races, creeds, colors, faiths, they can all stink at being president."
