Former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden may be living in temporary asylum somewhere in Russia, but his image seems to be popping up everywhere.
Already cast as the digital hero in a smartphone video game called Snowden Run 3D, the man who leaked classified information about the government's secret surveillance programs now has his own action figure,
NBC News reports.
Oregon-based
ThatsMyFace.com, which specializes in products related to facial reconstruction and analysis, has just added
Snowden's likeness to its line of 12-inch celebrity action dolls.
The figure goes for $99.
"This package includes Edward Snowden's custom action figure head mounted on a 12-inch action figure body with a several choices of outfit styles. By selecting Head only in the Outfit selection box above, you can also buy Edward Snowden's head for $60 only and fit it onto your own 12-inch figurines," the website says.
The Snowden action figure joins an array of toy action heroes, including Julian Assange, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Paul Ryan, and Hugo Chavez.
The company said that proceeds from the sale of the Snowden figure will go to the Freedom of the Press Foundation, which is "dedicated to helping support and defend public-interest journalism focused on exposing mismanagement, corruption, and law-breaking in government."
