Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to raze the four houses around his Palo Alto, Calif. home as he seeks to keep his privacy.

The 32-year-old billionaire, according to The Mercury News, purchased the four houses for more than $30 million three years ago. A developer had plans to demolish them and build a large house that would have included a view into Zuckerberg's master bedroom.

Now that he owns the properties, Zuckerberg plans to bulldoze the houses and build smaller ones in their place — three single-story houses and one that's two stories.

The new homes will reportedly maintain the same style of the neighborhood, and the trees will be kept as is.

Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan also own a home in San Francisco, which has made headlines in the past. Neighbors were irked with both construction going on at the house and Zuckerberg's security detail's cars taking up parking spaces on the street.

Facebook is headquartered in Palo Alto.
