Ferguson protesters shouted down a CNN crew during a live shot Monday night, threatening to go to CNN headquarters in Atlanta and do the same.
As host Don Lemon went to reporter Sarah Sidner in Ferguson for an update on developments in the case in which white police officer Darren Wilson shot and killed unarmed 18-year-old black teenager Michael Brown in early August, the crowd began shouting.
Members of the crowd can be heard clearly saying "fake journalists," but Sidner had trouble hearing Lemon and her own microphone was barely audible and cutting out. Lemon ended the segment, citing technical difficulties.
A video shot by one of the protesters shows the crew packing up and leaving.
A spokesman for CNN told
Mediaite that the crew did not shut down because of the protesters, but because they were experiencing technical difficulties at the site.
