At least 350,000 people voted in early, in-person voting in Florida on Monday, breaking the previous record of 291,000 set four years ago, Politico reported.

The voting was recorded in 52 of Florida's 67 counties. Early voting in all counties ahead of the Nov. 3 election will be available starting Saturday, Politico said.

The in-person ballots are in addition to the 2.5 million mail-in ballots already cast, which began being sent in earlier this month.

Pizza to the Polls, a nonprofit group established in 2016 "with a simple mission: deliver food to crowded polling locations," thanked performer Ariana Grande for a donation that sent "hundreds" of people to polling places where would-be voters waited in line to cast their ballots.

Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Julie Marcus posted to Twitter at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET that more than 6,300 people had cast early ballots at local polling places, a record, she said, without citing the previous high. The county includes St. Petersburg on the Gulf Coast.

In Orange County, encompassing Orlando, the supervisor of elections there posted to Twitter that more than 11,000 votes had been cast with two hours before the polls closed at 7 p.m. ET. That was about 6,000 short of the first day of early voting four years ago.
