Gallup Poll: Almost Two-Thirds Remain Worried About Coronavirus

Sixty-six percent of Americans remain worried about exposure to COVID-19, a new Gallup poll reveals.

Twenty percent say they are not too worried and 13% are not worried at all.

Here are how the poll results, released Wednesday, break down:

  • 47% of Republicans are worried about exposure to COVID-19, compared to 29% who are not too worried and 23% who are not worried at all.
  • 85% of Democrats are worried, while 11% are not too worried and 4% are not worried at all.
  • 64% of white respondents say they are worried, compared to 22% who are not too worried. 13% say they are not worried at all.
  • 69% of black respondents say they are worried. 19% say they are not too worried, and 11% say they are not worried at all.
  • 80% of Hispanic respondents say they are worried, while 11% say they are not too worried, and 9% say they are not worried at all.

The poll, conducted May 28-June 4, surveyed 1,034 people. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
