Ex-CNN Producer: Reporter Jim Acosta 'Truly An Embarrassment'

A former CNN digital producer took aim at Jim Acosta, the network’s White House correspondent, calling him “truly an embarrassment.”

“Jim Acosta’s self-serving antics give all good journalists a bad name,” former senior digital producer Steve Krakauer tweeted.

Krakauer was commenting about Acosta shouting at President Donald Trump during a Friday event. “Mr. President, will you stop calling the press the enemy of the people?” Acosta called from the back of the room.

The former producer said that Acosta was attempting to shift the blame for the Annapolis newspaper shooting to Trump, Krakauer said in a follow-up tweet.

Acosta later tweeted about the question he asked Trump, saying the president “did not respond.”

Earlier in the week, Acosta was met with boos at a Trump rally in South Carolina.

People in the crowd chanted “Go home, Jim.”
