Charlamagne Tha God, who co-hosts the radio show The Breakfast Club, told presidential hopeful Joe Biden to "shut the eff up forever" after the presumptive Democratic nominee called President Donald Trump " the first-ever racist president.

A co-host of the radio show The Breakfast Club who has become a 2020 election fixture issued a scathing rebuke of Joe Biden after the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee claimed that President Trump was the first-ever racist person elected to the White House.

"How the hell can Donald J. Trump be the first racist president in a country where 12 presidents before him owned slaves?" Charlamagne said.

"I really wish Joe Biden would shut the eff up forever and continue to act like he's starring in the movie A Quiet Place because as soon as he opens his mouth and makes noise, he gets us all killed, OK?" Charlamagne said. "There's already so many people who are reluctantly only voting for Joe Biden because he's the only option and because Donald J. Trump is that trash."

Biden made the quip on Wednesday during a virtual campaign event with the Service Employees International Union. The former vice president said the United States "had racists, and they’ve existed. They’ve tried to get elected president." Biden added, "He’s the first one that has."

But many observers have said that many past presidents have held racist views and should have statues named for them removed.

In New York City, a statue of President Theodore Roosevelt with a black man on one side and a Native-American man on the other was removed from the entrance of the Museum of Natural History. Officials said the statue represented "a racial hierarchy" that the museum didn't intend to convey.

Protesters have also called for the removal of other former presidents, such as Abraham Lincoln, at his memorial in Washington, D.C.

"Old, white, male leadership has failed America, and there is nothing worse than an old, white male [who] can't recognize the faults and flaws of other old, white males," he added. "Racism is the American way, OK? Donald Trump is not the first, and sadly, he won't be the last, alright? He's just more overt with his racism than most presidents in recent times."

Charlamagne Tha God and Biden spoke in May during an interview on The Breakfast Club when the presidential hopeful said, "If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black," after the host interjected when a campaign staffer tried to end the interview.
