Kathy Griffin says her career is still feeling the effects of her decapitated Donald Trump photo stunt.

"The minute I do something that makes money, they will all love me again," the flame-haired comic told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Wednesday. "When I'm dead, I'll be a legend. But not now."

Last June, Griffin issued teary apology for posting a gruesome photo in which she stands grim-faced, holding what looks like the president's severed head.

The stunt was roundly condemned and Griffin was hit with death threats and axed from co-hosting CNN's New Year's Eve coverage and had five comedy gigs canceled.

Griffin, who has been touring overseas, now wants to put the misguided move behind her.

"I didn't commit a crime. I didn't rape anybody. I didn't assault anybody. I didn't get a DUI. I mean, my God, there are celebrities that [expletive] kill people," she said.
