Kevin Spacey — who plays a scheming South Carolina congressman on the smash Netflix series "House of Cards" will do some real-life lobbying Friday night when he meets with Maryland legislators.

The two-time Oscar winner will visit Annapolis to help the show's producers push for more tax credits from the Old Line State, the Baltimore Sun reports.

The series, much of which is shot in Maryland, is lobbying for a bill to increase the amount of money allocated to the tax credit over the limit in the budget of Gov. Martin O’Malley.

Spacey will meet with senators and delegates who have been invited by lobbyist Gerard Evans to a reception at the Red Red Wine Bar, according to The Sun.

He and producers want the $11 million in tax credit money that is currently budgeted raised to $18.5 million to help ease production costs.

One production company sent a letter to O’Malley warning the show may leave if the tax credit is not increased, The Sun said.

In House of Cards, Spacey plays Rep. Frank Underwood, a Democrat who represents South Carolina's 5th Congressional District and is the House Majority Whip.

When he gets passed over for appointment as Secretary of State Underwood, with the help of his wife, surreptitiously plot revenge on those who betrayed him.

The series also stars Robin Wright, Kate Mara and Corey Stoll.
