Americans exposed to COVID-19 should join in on a class action lawsuit against China for "their failures to contain the coronavirus," according to the Berman Law Group on Newsmax TV.
"We are gathering clients as we speak," Jeremy Alters, the firm's spokesman, told Tuesday's "Greg Kelly Reports."
"There is a movement of people that are getting behind this lawsuit. Let's be frank: China unleashed a pandemic on the world, and they did it through the COVID-19 viral bomb. And it is exploding all over the United States as we speak.
"It is as simple as containing it in Wuhan before it got here, and not letting people go on planes and come here."
The website for the class-action lawsuit is DemandChinaPay.org, where you are greeted by a live chat box to join.
"They need to be held accountable for what they did: to our people, to our economy, and to everyone around the world," Alters told host Greg Kelly, suggesting the final lawsuit figure should rival the $2.2 trillion the U.S. coronavirus stimulus bill has needed to inject into the U.S. economy.
Also, appearing with Alters was an airline flight attendant named Jessica, who did not give her last name and asked her airline not be identified. She has reported flu-like symptoms including fatigue, cough, sore throat, and a fever. She was told she can keep flying as long as her fever was lower than 100.3, the recommended caution level by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.:
"It was per the CDC guidelines, which I believe should be more strict," she told Kelly about being permitted to fly since her contact March 15.
She has joined the lawsuit after being made aware by the airline of a known contact to a fellow flight attendant who was asymptomatic at the time, but has since tested positive for COVID-19. Jessica, sid she has since been tested for the coronavirus and is awaiting the results.
"China has to come to the table and do their job, and represent what they've done here," Alters said, suggesting China mishandled the disease in its Wuhan biolab and must come clean. "
"What exactly happened in that biolab? Was the disease manipulated? Was it let out into the wet markets?"
