MSNBC to Landrieu: 'Are You a Lost Cause?'

By    |   Thursday, 13 November 2014 09:26 PM EST

With polls showing her trailing in her runoff bid and party money for her campaign drying up, Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu now has left-leaning news channel MSNBC questioning her chances.

During a press conference Wednesday to tout her support for a vote on the Keystone XL pipeline, MSNBC's Kasie Hunt said, "National Democrats have pulled their ads from your campaign. Your leaders are not standing with you today. Are you a lost cause?"

"No, I don’t believe I am," Landrieu answered. "Of course I’ve stood against my leadership when I’ve had to, and this is one of those times."
