The love story of President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama is being turned into a movie, according to Deadline.

Called "Southside With You," it will chronicle the summer afternoon in 1989 when Obama romanced Michelle on their first date in Chicago’s South Side.

Actress Tika Sumpter, who starred in "Get On Up," will play a young Michelle, while a search is underway to cast the young Barack.

According to Deadline, Obama took a while to persuade Michelle to go on a date with him.

As an idealistic first-year Harvard Law student, he took a summer job at the Chicago law firm Sidley Austin, where he was quickly smitten with a lovely lawyer named Michelle Robinson, his younger boss.

The film will follow the day she agreed to go out with him when they visited the Art Institute, took a long walk, and watched a screening of Spike Lee’s new film, "Do The Right Thing."

It was not clear whether the film will air on TV or the big screen.

The couple, who were married in 1992 and have two daughters, talked about their first date during an interview, a segment of which can be seen on YouTube.
