Former senior economic adviser Stephen Moore said Sunday the Biden administration “puts America last” by undoing regulations and policies aimed to prioritize the nation’s interests.
In an interview on Newsmax TV’s premiere of “Save the Nation,” Moore predicted the new course will ”do substantial damage” to economy.
“One of things we tried to do in the under Donald Trump.. was to put America first, that every decision was aimed at making sure that we were aiming our economic decisions on helping American workers and helping American businesses,” he said to host Adam Brandon.
“And obviously it worked incredibly well.”
“Now what we're seeing from [President Joe] Biden is policies that quite frankly put America last,” he lamented, singling out the decision to return to the the Paris climate accord, “which is going to cost the U.S. economy hundreds of billions of dollars,” and to pull back from pipeline construction.
“Trump had said that for every new regulation, we're going to repeal two regulations,” Moore said.
“Biden has has repealed that executive order because he said he wants to make it easier for regulators to regulate our economy. That's gonna do substantial damage to the U.S economy going forward.”
