Megyn Kelly's claim to US Weekly she knows "too much that others don't know" about Matt Lauer's alleged sexual misconduct might be fueling those inside NBC to be "counting down the days; they want her off the air," Page Six TV reported.
Kelly's comments came last week and "ruffled some feathers" of NBC employees sympathetic to Lauer. Sources also told Page Six TV that Kelly is "milking the MeToo movement."
Kelly was a popular Fox News host before the 2016 presidential election, including hosting a debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Hilary Clinton, which also thrust her into the campaign headlines.
After Trump's inauguration, Kelly joined NBC and has suffered disappointing ratings, leading to speculation she has been overpaid and has underdelivered — with The Wall Street Journal writing: NBC lost a $69 million bet on Kelly.
