The National Rifle Association is slamming The New York Times and warning the newspaper: "We're coming for you."
A new video by NRATV takes exception to a Times' statement that the paper's "commitment to the truth isn't new" and that its coverage is "deep and rich," the Washington Examiner reports.
"Recently The New York Times, in its bid to remain relevant and influential, tried to disrupt the narrative on fake news by promoting itself as truth," national spokesperson Dana Loesch says in the video. "Who are you fooling New York Times?"
She blasted the paper and called it an "ever-dutiful shill for the left."
"We are going to ‘fisk' The New York Times and find out just what 'deep and rich' means to this old, gray hag, this untrustworthy, dishonest rag that has subsisted on the welfare of mediocrity for one, two, three, more decades," she said. "We're going to laser-focus on your so-called 'honest pursuit of truth.' In short, we're coming for you.
"We the people have had it. We've had it with your narratives .,. your propaganda, your fake news. We've had it with your constant protection of your Democrat overlords."
The video was scheduled to make its national TV debut on Tuesday as part of the NRA's "Freedom's Safest Place" campaign, the Examiner reported.
