St. John's Church Near White House Set on Fire

The historic St. John's church in Lafayette Square could be seen burning on live television Sunday night as protestors clashed with police near the White House.

Fox News cameras went down stairs and inside a smashed glass door where a fire could be seen in a room. The reporter told someone as he exited that there were no fire extinguishers that he could see to put it out.

Police moved protestors away from the site and it was unclear late Sunday if fire crews were able to get to the scene to save the historic structure where every president since James Madison has attendended services,
