Rahm Emanuel: Heads to Roll at White House Over Obamacare

With critics calling for someone to be fired over the troubled Obamacare rollout, President Barack Obama's former chief of staff, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, said he thinks "heads are rolling."

But his former boss is likely focusing on getting the problems fixed first, Emanuel told Jake Tapper on CNN's "The Lead." After that, punishment will be meted out, he said Wednesday.

"I have a tough time imagining that if you were chief of staff right now, somebody would not have lost their job by now," Tapper told Emanuel. "People messed up, they lost their jobs. This was a big mess-up."

Critics have called on Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to resign over the glitch-filled website that people have tried to use to sign up for mandatory health insurance.

House Republicans noted that the website wasn't functioning even as Sebelius testified before Congress on Wednesday.

Turning to another subject, Emanuel said the fractured Republican Party needs its own "Bill Clinton moment."

"There's an internal battle in the Republican Party for the heart and soul and the direction of the Republicans," he said. "Our own party, 10, 20 years ago, faced this, and Bill Clinton set a new direction for the Democratic Party."
