A group of Harvard University graduate students has started a Resistance School to fight against the Trump administration and for the liberal causes they believe in.

The group compares itself to "Dumbledore's Army," the secretive group in the Harry Potter books founded and led by students when the Hogwarts school refused to teach students the skills to fight against the evil Voldemort.

The group is holding four weekly online streaming classes during April led by experts in advocacy. They include two former Obama administration officials.

The group began just after the election of President Donald Trump when a collection of friends said they felt "concerned" about the outcome, USA Today College reports.

"Many of us had been politically active before the election, and what we're doing here is trying to help communities across the country strengthen their skills so they can take political action that has sustained momentum over the long term," co-founder Shanoor Seervai said.

More than 7,000 groups have signed up for Resistance School, Seervai told USA Today College.

The Washington Free Beacon notes that the reading list includes the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights, but also the essay "Reciprocal Solidarity: Where the Black and Palestinian Queer Struggles Meet."

"In this essay on Black-Palestinian queer reciprocal solidarity, we recognize how our bodies and life stories are marked for subjugation and even erasure, while also considering the toll of intersectional and structural forms of violence on our bodies and spirits," the essay reads.
