Pop star Rihanna slammed the White House's response to the crisis in Puerto Rico that has resulted after Hurricane Maria.

“Don't let your people die like this,” Rihanna wrote in a tweet Thursday morning.

The singer, a native of Barbados —which is about 600 miles from Puerto Rico — sent another tweet Thursday praising five former U.S. presidents — Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter — for their work to support hurricane relief efforts.

On Friday, she posted another tweet with a link for people to make donations for supplies to the region.

Other musicians have banded together for Puerto Rico relief efforts, including Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, and Vin Diesel, according to CNN.
