Costs for the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump could top $200 million, The New York Times reports.

Taxpayers and private donors foot the bill for Friday's swearing-in and the weeklong events that surround the event. Trump's Presidential Inaugural Committee so far has raised more than $90 million in private donations.

The Congressional committee responsible for the ceremony itself and the luncheon has appropriated $1.25 million for those events, the Times reports.

Security is by far the biggest expense, the price tag of which will come in around $100 million and ultimately be paid by the federal government, the Times reports.
