President Donald Trump’s legal team reasserted Monday that the portion of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation involving the president will wrap up quickly, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Jay Sekulow, a member of the president’s legal team, avoided any mention of specific dates, the Journal noted.

"I know we, collectively, the lawyers, are looking forward to an expeditious wrapping up of this matter," Sekulow said.

Trump has called the probe a "witch hunt," and in recent days has been calling attention to what he sees as bias on the part of FBI officials involved in the probe.
