Fox TV drama "Bones" is the latest in a series of network TV shows to show a character's criminal intent by posing him near a Republican politician — this time, former President George W. Bush.
In the series' April 21 episode, "The Nail in the Coffin," a corrupt judge's criminal activity was revealed by showing him standing next to Bush,
Breitbart reports.
The show's plot involves FBI agent David Boreanaz and his forensic pathologist wife, played by Emily Deschanel, whose team of scientists and doctors are tasked with investigating a cold case series of murders tied to a politically connected family.
The family, according to the plot, bribed several public officials to cover up the murders, and one of those involved was a judge who later became a congressman, with ties to Bush.
There have been other shows this season that identified characters as "bad guys," including "NCIS" showing one with Bush and another show, NBC's "The Blacklist," showing one with Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.
"NCIS" also portrayed a group of terrorists as tea party members in a 2009 episode, Breitbart reports.
