Former President Barack Obama's Twitter post after the violence in Charlottesville, Va., is one of the most popular tweets ever, The Hill reported.

Obama took to Twitter on Saturday night after a rally by white supremacists turned violent.

The tweet already has nearly 2.5 million likes and has been retweeted over a million times.

The Hill reported Favstar, a Twitter-tracking site, as saying Obama's tweet was the second most liked one of all time.

According to Favstar, a tweet by singer Ariana Grande following a terror attack after one of her concerts in England, has been liked 2.7 million times.
