The notorious confidant of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, 57, has been hiding out in a $3 million mansion in New England, according to the Daily Mail, but that report has been debunked by the home owner, according to CNN.
"I'm traveling abroad for business," tech CEO Scott Borgerson, 43, told CNN's Vicky Ward. "Ghislaine Maxwell is not at my home, and I don't know where she is."
Borgerson has been seen running errands near his Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts mansion and walking Maxwell's dog, according to the Daily Mail.
Maxwell is alleged to have recruited underage girls for Epstein's alleged sex trafficking operation. She is rumored to have been dating Borgerson for three years.
"She's become a real homebody, rarely ventures out," a source told DailyMail.com. "She's the antithesis of the woman who traveled extensively and partied constantly with Epstein."
Maxwell's whereabouts are of increasing importance as the Justice Department investigates last Saturday's death of Epstein in his Manhattan jail cell – assumed to be by suicide.
Prosecutors have vowed to keep the investigation going into Epstein and any potential co-conspirators, of which Maxwell is alleged to have been. According to victims' claims, Maxwell recruited them to have sex with Epstein and other rich and powerful men.
