Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse Replaces 14 Ambulances Destroyed by Hamas

Just a little over three months after 14 of Israel's Magen David Adom rescue ambulances were destroyed during the onslaught by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7, replacement vehicles donated by Samaritan's Purse were dedicated in a ceremony in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

Samaritan's Purse, an American Evangelical humanitarian aid organization, will also donate seven armored ambulances to Magen David Adom (MDA), which are still in production.

"At a time when the Israeli people — and Jews around the world — are feeling alone, this donation is so meaningful," said Catherine Reed, CEO of American Friends of MDA.

"It's a testament to the fact that amid all the protests and the increase in antisemitism, the people of Israel and the worldwide Jewish community have friends they can count on."

The dedication ceremony also commemorated four MDA medics who were killed on Oct. 7 while trying to save lives, as well as the 15 medics who have been killed in the war since the attack.

Each of the 14 new MDA ambulances will carry inscriptions dedicated to one of the fallen medics. As part of the ceremony, the inscriptions were revealed, allowing their family and friends to see and touch their loved one's memorial ambulance for the first time.

The donation was first announced by Samaritan's Purse President and CEO Rev. Franklin Graham last November, after he witnessed the devastation Hamas wrought on Kibbutz Be'eri, near the Gaza border, where 100 residents were murdered by terrorists.

MDA is Israel's main emergency services organization and treats and transports nearly one million people to hospitals every year.
