Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the release of Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander came after his country's military pressure and political pressure exerted by President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu said he spoke with Trump on Monday, where the U.S. president expressed commitment to Israel, according to a statement by Netanyahu's office.
