Corey Lewandowski will be with President Donald Trump at a New Hampshire rally Thursday as speculation grows he could mount a bid against Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., in 2020, The Hill is reporting.
"I will be with the president [Thursday] on his visit to New Hampshire, and I'm excited for him to come back and talk about his message of economic prosperity and national security," Lewandowski, Trump's first 2016 campaign manager, told The Hill.
The website noted speculation has swirled over whether the president will use the rally to endorse or encourage a potential Lewandowski Senate run.
Lewandowski said, "there's a lot of time to make decisions about running," but he did not rule out the possibility of an impending campaigning announcement.
And he added: "Sometimes the president is unpredictable. Having had the opportunity to serve next to him in several capacities, I'll be prepared for any comments he makes."
Lewandowski is a Republican from Manchester, New Hampshire.
