Wednesday, in Burlington, Iowa, Joe Biden, putative Democratic frontrunner for the 2020 presidential election,
went all-in on calling President Trump a racist:
“In both clear language and in code, this president has fanned the flames of white supremacy in this nation. Trump offers no moral leadership, no interest in unifying the nation, no evidence the presidency has awakened his conscience in the least. Our president has more in common with George Wallace [racist Democratic governor of Alabama, who challenged Lyndon Johnson for the presidency in 1964] than George Washington.”
The charge of racism, not any particular Democrat, is Mr. Trump’s opponent from now until Election Day, November 3, 2020.
Here’s how Trump responded on Twitter to Biden’s speech:
“Watching Sleepy Joe Biden making a speech. Sooo Boring! The LameStream Media will die in the ratings and clicks with this guy. It will be over for them, not to mention the fact that our Country will do poorly with him. It will be one big crash, but at least China will be happy!”
Newsflash to Trump: Focusing on and dismissing Sleepy Joe Biden is a mistake — he is not your adversary. An empty suit, Biden is easy to beat. In fact, all the Democrats are easy to beat. They’re freedom-killing, nation-ruining socialists.
The racism label, though, is harder to beat. Because they have nothing else to offer, Democrats, aided by CNN, MSNBC, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, are playing the racist card, 24/7.
Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s propagandist, said this:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic, and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Accordingly, this big racist lie, repeated ad nauseam, is increasingly sticking in many precincts across America. If enough voters associate Trump with racism, they will elect a Democrat — even if doing so will kill their jobs.
Considering Goebbels’s observation, there are three key reasons that the racist label is sticking to Trump: 1) people are uninformed and misinformed, 2) we live in a loser/self-loathing culture, and 3) there’s a paucity of critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Examples of the three key reasons:
Misinformed
Many don’t know how much Donald Trump has helped blacks and Latinos. Worse, they believe Trump colluded with Russia, despite zero evidence. An Ivy League-educated lawyer recently told me that she believes it. When I asked where she gets hers news, she replied, MSNBC. Enough said.
Loser/Self-Loathing
Actress Rosanna Arquette tweeted Wednesday: "I’m sorry I was born white and privileged. It disgusts me. And I feel so much shame." Then, there’s a lawsuit against Harvard for rejecting high-achieving, hard-working Asian applicants, now classified as whites, favoring instead lesser-qualified blacks.
Paucity of Critical Thinking
After the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas (22 killed), and Dayton, Ohio (nine killed), Democrats blamed guns, white supremacy, and President Trump — instead of mental illness — but were silent when, in Chicago, 59 people were shot, seven killed. And, in Los Angeles, a madman with a knife killed four people and wounded two.
When I was young, our culture was based on common sense and discipline. Then, it was easy to get a gun — even from hardware stores. All boys had toy guns. On TV, we had “Bonanza,” “The Rifleman,” and “Gunsmoke.” Yet, there were no mass shootings.
So, what’s causing America’s dysfunction today?
Look no further than the public-school system — buttressed by the anti-Trump media, Hollywood, and Democratic Party.
In California schools, through the Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum — which advocates social justice through marches, boycotts, and strikes — students will be brainwashed with garbage like this:
- Capitalism is a “form of power and oppression,” alongside “patriarchy,” “racism,” “white supremacy” and “ableism.”
- Critical thinking is not reasoning through facts, logic, and weighing evidence. No. Instead, it trains students to “speak out on social issues” by understanding those who wield power.
Our culture now teaches kids to be victims, swallow lies, hate, censor, yell, damage property, and boycott. That’s why the false racist label is working.
If Donald Trump doesn’t overwhelmingly and demonstrably conquer his real nemesis — the false racist label — he’ll become a one-term president.
