Russian President Vladimir Putin is moving troops and military equipment to the 11-mile border Russia shares with North Korea out of concern a conflict with the United States would impel a flood of refugees into his country, The Daily Mail reported.
The report comes amid videos that have surfaced, showing Russian trains transporting tanks and jeeps, et al, ostensibly to the border. Helicopters and tanks have also been seen on the videos relocating to Russia's southeast border.
With all the saber rattling between the U.S. and North Korea and Pyongyang's repeated missile tests, both Russia and China appear to be bracing for a mass exodus of North Koreans into their countries should a military conflict break out, the Daily Mail reported.
U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, who is touring the region, has delivered near-daily warnings to North Korea to behave.
North Korea's most recent test last weekend resulted in an explosion shortly after launch.
